Dec 8. Revelation 6. Tyus Hardy

The Wrath of the Lamb

This is an immensely intense chapter as the opening of the seals seems to bring in one disaster after another. With the entrance of the horses representing a specific catastrophe (conquer, relinquishing of peace, famine, plague, etc) it seemed as if the Lamb was almost out to get everybody as he continued opening the seven seals. The sixth gate was the scariest one opened though, as the second it opened the “Wrath of the Lamb” began to rain down on everyone in an almost apocalyptic event.

The wrath that occurred in the end of the chapter is clearly something that we as disciples wish to avoid. On the day Jesus inevitably comes, we should be prepared and as pure as possible. We should continue in our repentance and prayers so that ensuring His wrath will not be necessary for us. I know at times I can still struggle to repent for my sin due to my prideful nature, but God has given me chance after chance to get it right and He will continue to do so until the day comes. My baptism back in March was the day I was saved from this fate and I should continue striving for His level of righteousness.
