Read the NT and Do What It Says (DWIS) this Fall with HRC
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. - James 1:22
This Fall, the Hampton Roads Church will be immersed in the text of the New Testament as we seek to live out New Testament Christianity. There are two reading tracks for a 40 day reading of the NT (one includes two gospels, the other has all four - download it). If you would rather listen to the NT in 40 days, here's a great link. Yet our goal is not to simply read the NT, rather we seek to "do what it says" (James 1:22). So each day, we'll capture convictions (here's an example) from our reading by answering these three questions:
- What is something that I learned about God?
- What is something that I learned about NT Christianity?
- What is something that the Holy Spirit has convicted me to put into practice today?
At each midweek service, we'll dedicate our "Good News Sharing" to our experiences with "Do what it says" (DWIS). Get ready for conviction, get ready to ACT, get ready to grow. You can download the campaign handout by clicking here.
