Rizon will be performing at Beachstock 20. Shane “Rizon” Gibson is from the Trinidad and Tobago church, where he was baptized in the teen ministry back in 1999. Rizon’s music career has exploded over the past decade, while giving incredible glory to God. He has won several awards at the Marlin Gospel Music Awards - an awards show that recognizes outstanding achievement in Caribbean gospel music. Rizon is unashamed of the gospel and uses socially relevant lyrics addressing sexual abuse, crime, abstinence and marital faithfulness.

Keynote Speakers: Rudy Pena (Chicago) and Melika Miller (Memphis)

About our speakers

Rudy Pena is a Singles House Church leader in Midpoint Region of the Chicago Church of Christ. He has been a disciple for 19 years. He is a man of the arts, enjoying screenwriting, filmmaking, and photography. He serves as an admin for the Singles Disciple Connection (SDC). Rudy is also a DJ and musician, finishing up a Christian hip-hop album. When asked about an inspiring thing he’s been a part of, he shared about the opportunity he had to preach at the World Discipleship Summit recently. In addition, he and other disciples from around the country hosted “Hip Hop 4 HOPE” - a Christian hip hop concert created to raise money for HOPE Worldwide in Honduras.

Melika Miller is a licensed professional counselor and founder of Love Abundantly Ministry (www.loveabundantlyministry.com)
in which she teaches about growing deeper in intimacy with God and overcoming roadblocks towards intimacy with God, self, and others. Melika also helps to lead the Singles Ministry in the Memphis Church. Melika was baptized 24 years (25 on July 5th) in the Day Time Ministry in New York City. Melika is author of "Forty Years a Virgin: Why the wait?! Promoting Purity in a World of Promiscuity". Additionally, Melika is a soul music artist with a single called "Don't Give Up Now" and will be releasing an album on March 25th (www.melikamiller.com). Melika loves singing, leading others in worship, speaking and teaching abouy Jesus, helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus. Melika also loves watching TV, going to the movies, eating at different restaurants, talking with her friends, walking in the park and exercising. When asked about an inspirational thing she has been a part of, she said:
“Speaking at the Oasis Retreat in Las Vegas was amazing and completely impactful to me. God truly blew my mind with the response of the disciples who attended my class called "It's Ok Not to Be Ok." I also had the chance to sing at the United Nations and lead the participants in singing gospel songs. Powerful moment to look in the audience and see women from different countries arm in arm singing "We shall Overcome."
