Sep 29. Titus 2. Tyus Hardy

Grace Has Appeared

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

Titus 2:11-15

God’s grace is a powerful thing. The most powerful thing in the world. It saved humanity by giving us a way out through Jesus. It bestows upon us the Holy Spirit which guides us to doing the right thing on Earth.

This should be what we teach to those who are unaware. Everyone knows the basics: Jesus died for our sins and resurrected three days later, sinning is bad, go to church, get baptized, pray before every meal, etc. It sometimes makes it hard to explain to people what they’re missing in their relationship with God as they think they’re already good enough.

I have to pray for God to speak through me as I am sharing my faith so that if they accept my invitation, they directly accept His. I also have to have the courage to sway crowds and convert people to a new godly mindset.
