NT40 Convictions for Revelation 7-14

It's the penultimate post (posted a day late due to our Web site going down during the storm) for our 40 day journey! Intense look at the afflictions and tribulations in Revelation:

One thing I learned today...

1. About God: His kingdom has come already but it is not yet fully revealed. Rev 11:15 describes this full revelation, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever."

2. About NT Christianity: They overcame the accusations of Satan the accuser, who leads the whole world astray. How? "For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink form death." Rev 12:10-11.

3. DWIS (Do What It Says): I need an accusation evacuation plan. Satan accuses. This can be more deadly than tempation, because temptation's goal is an initial stumble while accusation's goal is a final defeat by giving up. Since the NT Christians triumphed over the accusations by the blood of the Lamb (grace!) and by the word of their testimony, I'll grab a couple profoundly helpful Scriptures on grace to steady me during times of stressful accusation. Plus I'll capture my testimony to remember how much Jesus has done for me.
