Hebrews 9:15-28 Sermon by Ed Anton

There Will Be Blood - Real Blood. In this brilliant passage that connects the Old and New Covenants, we learn that these covenants are really Testaments or Wills that require the death of the Testator for them to be activated. In the first testament, God provides a figurative tabernacle, lampstand, altar, basin, worship articles, and figurative blood for his own self-sacrifice. In the new testament, God now provides access to the heavenly realities - not merely to figurative copies or models or sketches. Plus he now provides real blood, not figurative blood. What a selfless loving Lord!
