NT Convictions for Mark 11-13

1. About God: Jesus, the great messianic deliverer, arrives at the prophosied east gate of Jerusalem through a triumphal procession seated on a borrowed donkey colt. Great power concealed by great humilty. This is followed by righteous indignation in the temple courts combined with briliance among crafty scholars trying to trap Jesus in his words.

2. About NT Christianity: During this entry into Jerusalem, the disciples hang on every one of Jesus' words.

3. DWIS: 13:35-37 provides an admonishment from Jesus to us ("What I say to you, I say to everyone") to remain vigilant in our watch for His return. I will live today in hopeful expectation of Jesus' ultimate triumph, the parousia, the second coming.
